We’ve got another great video sent in by Shane, playing his early KG-11 in his very personal style. He gets a wonderful sound out of the guitar and shows the range of the instrument in the right hands. There’s nothing more pleasing about what I do than seeing my customers enjoying their guitars and creating music with them. This is stunning!!

Shane sent in another priceless video of his KG-11 in action and we had to share this one!

Hello Benn,
Today, my Kalamazoo KG 11 (1936) arrived. After acclimatization (although it doesn’t freeze here, just precaution) I opened the box. Everything is well packed. And after unpacking the Kalamazoo was save and sound. It made it! After tuning up and playing a bit the sound, the tone, the resonance and the voice were growing up…..wow what a responsiveness and overtones! Not newish, but oldish raw overtones…the guitar is speaking to me. A real blues machine from those days !
It is great, and I love it !
I think, the Kalamazoo fell in love with me 😉 and me too with this beautiful sound.
Thank you for the advice, the support and the service. It was a good choice, despite the distance. All specs and details you did provide on your website are clear and true. Highly recommended. If I want another vintage guitar with optimal playability and quality for its age, I will come to you again!
Many thanks again,
Kind regards,
Jos

1933 Gibson - Kalamazoo KG11 Zipper
Hello Benn,
The Kalamazoo KG11 has arrived in Rotterdam and is everything i hoped for it to be. An incredibly good looking lightweight guitar with a really big voice for such a relatively small guitar. Thanks again, I’ll definitely keep following your website.
Greetings,
Wim

Hi Benn, arrived safe and sound, I really love it, thanks for everything. Your service, response, shipping time, and willingness to go above and beyond are really refreshing, couldn’t be more satisfied with the deal from beginning to end. Steve.

Benn,
I haven’t stopped playing it yet. This I the “sound” that we talked about that I was chasing.
It has sweet highs and a strong midrange. Lots of bark in this one. And yes, I do believe it could have been a weather thing. I truly appreciate you taking care of it for me, and I will pass your name on to others I know who love these old guitars.
When I have time, I will sit down and shoot a video. Maybe I will even write a new song…
Thanks again,
Shane
