David is a skilled professional luthier and performs work on my collection and I’m pleased to feature him on my site. He is a degreed engineer with a working background in the Textile industry but left that career to follow his passion: building and repairing acoustic guitars full time. For 30 years David has been an avid collector of vintage Gibson and Martin guitars (and Maine Coon cats) and I consider his knowledge a major resource to my efforts.Davids practical approach is both helpful and reassuring when repairs are required.

Custom Built Acoustic Guitars

Since taking off on his own in 2006, David has built 25 sensational sounding guitars for the most discerning of players. Varieties include standard and shallow body dreadnoughts, L-00s, 12 string and Baritone guitars along with several Jumbo sized guitars. All builds are of exquisite craftsmanship and finish, select exotic woods and tops, sophisticated style and features rivaling the top semi custom boutique manufactures and independent builders of our time.

David’s own design is similar to the Martin 0000 and Bourgeois JOM body size. He considers these a great size for all around finger and flat picking playing styles.
