ca 1937 Gibson L0
Ooh la la, such a very nice circa ’37 creme de la creme Gibson L0……and what a mighty fine example she is!!
Although this is a recent find, the guitar has been played and you can hear it! Has that woody authentic Gibson sound in spades, that ever so sensational thumpy bass with long sustain mids and highs. Perfect recording guitar and oh such a fine looking old lady!!
David did a fabulous set up including an impeccable neck re set with action just a hair under 4-3, perfect intonation and proper string break across the saddle. Select new frets, tastefully filled fretboard divots and new aged bone saddle and nut. Replaced tuner buttons and bridge pins with Willi Henkes authentic repros.
Has the top and back binding. The neck is a comfortable C shape mahogany and you can see it’s comfy because the finish has been played (loved) right off it!!
No seams showing and the braces are all intact, bridge plate is very clean and no need for any crack repair because there ain’t any!
Oh my the Mojo is strong on this one!!
No wonder this was a choice of the great Woody Guthrie!! This is one sensational guitar!
New vintage style proper fitting hard case completes the package.
