ca 1935 Gibson-Kalamazoo model KG11
All there and all original and such the honest mojo!!. This street corner girl has been one of my long time personal players and I’m sad to see her go, but I can’t keep them all.
3 piece Adirondack top with mahogany neck, back and sides. Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge with 1 3/4″ at the nut .
To our way of thinking, the KG-11 was one of the best ideas Gibson ever had. We have never heard a bad sounding one yet. Loud and punchy and great for the finger style country blues.
This is a player’s player with impeccable restoration by luthier David Hatchard, which includes a full re fret, neck re set, crack repairs and pro set up resulting in perfect intonation …. 4-3 action and plenty of string break over the new bone saddle.
This guitar is for you cats, who like us, know the difference between the prettiest girl at the dance and the best dancer. This is certainly one of the best sounding and best playing examples we’ve ever had. No BS!
Simply a great finger picking guitar.
New Silver Creek Hard Case with the green plush lining.
