An absolutely, positively stunning finger picking guitar in close to museum condition as any ~109 year old guitar gets.

This instrument features a crack free Swiss Pine top, all crack free French polished Brazilian rosewood back, sides and peg head veneer. The straight braced body is bound top and back with ivoroid. 12-fret slot-head cedar neck, ebony bridge and fingerboard that is ivoroid bound and attractive hand-engraved mother of pearl inlaid fret markers with colorful marquetry. 25″ scale length, 13 9/16″ lower bout and 1 7/8″ nut width combine to produce outstanding volume and tone.

The inlays which according to George Gruhn and Jim Bollman (The Buddha of Boston Banjos) appear to be the work of Vega’s subcontractor Icilio Consalvi who was responsible for the high quality engraving on Cole, Fairbanks, Howe-Orme, Vega, and other pre-1910 Boston instruments. Conservatively strung with silk and steel, but could take an ultra light set of bronze, but why would you? When this guitar already makes you sound like James Taylor!!
