ca 1936 Gibson-Kalamazoo Model KG11

One of the cleanest survivors we’ve ever found. Crack free top and sides with only one minor hairline on the back, which was expertly repaired by  luthier Ross Teigen of Naples Florida when he recently performed a neck re set, installed a new bone saddle with proper string break and a set of Willi Henkes Antique Acoustics bridge pins. Impeccable set up, thank you Ross!! Soft V neck profile with the action set at a comfortable 3-2 with spot on intonation, perfect for finger style play. .

Three piece red spruce top with mahogany neck,  back and sides and Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge with nut width of 1 3/4″.  Acknowledged by both players and collectors as one of the very best finger picking blues guitars ever made!

To our way of thinking, the KG-11 was one of the best ideas Gibson ever had.

We’ve never heard a bad sounding one yet! Loud and punchy and great tone for finger style country blues picking.

This is an extremely clean good sounding completely honest 100% original example.

With new Hard case.

Special thanks to Frank Corso for the fabulous “vintage licks”!
