1951 Martin D18

The Martin D18 is the all time venerable blue grass player and this one has that gorgeously aged Sitka spruce top. Sultry Southern accent. 25.4 Martin scale and a nut width just a hair under 1 3/4 with original ivory nut and a great feeling and very comfortable C shaped neck profile. An easy player. S/N 120987

Recent professional neck reset using hot hide glue. Action a hair over 3-2 for Bluegrass players. A couple of repaired hairline cracks on the top and the same on the back. All fine luthier work performed by David Hatchard and it ought to be because it’s his guitar on consignment.

Nice Brazilian rosewood fretboard with complete re fret. Original tuners and original Brazilian rosewood bridge and bridge plate. Very smooth neck with no capo scars, just a minor pick guard crack repair and some substantial honest pick rash above and below the fret board extension which only proves this girl has been played.

Priced to sell!!

Thanks to David Surette for the flat picked Vintage Licks!
