Kay Galaxie ca 1964 Thin Line

***SOLD***

Kay Galaxie ca. 1964 Thin Line All original and hardly played. These were made from 1961 to 1966.

This one acquired from the original owner who was gifted this guitar as an 8 year old and then never played it. Extremely clean with no scratches. Pro luthier checked out and fully functional. The powerful (and never opened) Barney Kessel pickup is a dream. The pole pieces are immaculate. Smooth action and a truss rod neck that’s straight as an arrow.

Beautiful curly maple top, back and sides. Oval rosewood fretboard with nickel silver frets and the very cool inlaid mother of pearl “sharks teeth” fret markers. Nickel plated hardware, original Kluson covered machine heads and bushings and of course theĀ  fabulous so called “Half Kelvinator” headstock.

The heavy celluloid body and neck binding is amazing, not a flaw. Say that in 45 years on any guitar made today.

Absolutely stunning condition with original two tone case.

Oh yea, amazingly a strap pin was never installed, can you imagine? So we’ll leave that for you.
