1936 Gibson – Kalamazoo KG14

I know I know there hasn’t been a KG14 on my site for awhile now, but what can I say, I’m very careful about choosing these and it’s better for you that I’m fussy.

Mid 1930′s Kalamazoo KG14 set up for even the most accomplished player with comfy action of 3-2. Perfect intonation. Smooth neck and crack free sans a few surface lines and minor dings which are a no never mind. Outfitted with the cream colored tuner buttons and bridge pins, ooh la la indeed! Great burst and clean under the hood.

But this is no girly girl, no no … she’s a naughty one and capable of those nasty blues da boyz like to play! Wonderful survivor and all cool! One of the best I’ve had. Based on the Gibson L-00, yet ladder braced. A stunning depression era legendary finger style /slide blues picker just like Robert Johnson played.

A non intrusive passive pick up has been removed, but the tastefully installed jack remains as the sturdy strap pin and can be easily re wired to another pick up.

New proper fitting 4 latch TKL style case completes the package.

Forget about those Collings Waterloo knock offs, this is the real deal!!

Please open the photos to full resolution and examine this beautiful 80 year old time capsule.
