1948 Martin D18

***SOLD***
1948 Martin D18, the all time venerable blue grass player with a gorgeously aged tight grain Sitka spruce top. This is a good looking sweetheart of a girl with a sultry Southern accent….

25.4 Martin scale and 1 11/16th original bone nut with a great feeling and very comfortable “C” shaped neck profile. Just an easy player. Recent professional neck reset with action a hair over 3-2 and the proper string break over a new bone 1/8″ saddle.

Original bridge. Tuners replaced with vintage war time Martin tuners and total re fret with vintage appropriate Martin wire.

Minor buckle rash on back and some shallow capo scars and the typical pick guard hairline well repaired along with two minor non noticeable 1/4″ hairlines on bottom side of lower bout. Tastefully filled divots at the first few positions on the nicely grained Brazilian rosewood fretboard. All fine luthier work, it ought to be because it’s his guitar on consignment.
