1936 Gibson Kalamazoo “Carson J. Robison” Model KG-14

Another great sounding example of the Gibson Kalamazoo “Carson J. Robison” model KG-14 which was only the second celebrity endorsed guitar by Gibson after the Nick Lucas. These are the higher style version of the standard KG-14. Structurally identical to the basic KG-14 but with finer finish appointments that set it apart from the standard model like the lighter piece of figured Brazilian rosewood for the fretboard and an added shade of red between the orange and black in the sun burst and a lighter stain on the mahogany back, sides and neck that make these stand out from the crowd. Cream colored tuner buttons and bridge pins and a bone nut instead of the standard ebony complete the higher end all original look.

This one has had a recent neck set and pro set up by David Hatchard including new bone saddle which was impeccably fabricated from vintage bone with gorgeous execution. This guitar still maintains its original cream colored bridge pins and original bone nut as well. Sweet finger style action at 4-3 with plenty of string break across the saddle. All crack free with just some minor scratches and pick rash.

All original with no funny business including bridge, Kluson tuners and a very nicely figured Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and no refin or over spray. FON 1064B

Creme de la Creme of the Kalamazoo KG14s. Could not ask for a better sun burst with such stunning Gibson crazing in the seemingly seamless top!

Your choice of the old hard case pictured or new vintage style hard case, either one well fitting and complete the package.
